The Jolie Frizz Care Guide

Hair Care 101: Maintaining Your Jolie Frizz Extensions

Jolie Frizz extensions are designed to blend effortlessly and last — but like natural curls, they thrive with consistent care. Here’s how to keep them looking their best.

Daily Maintenance

Keep the hair hydrated with a light mist of water or a water-based leave-in.

Detangle gently with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, starting from the ends upward.

Sleep with a satin bonnet or on a silk pillowcase to minimize friction and maintain curl definition.

 Cleansing Routine

We recommend co-washing (using conditioner to cleanse and refresh) weekly or every two weeks, depending on how often you wear and style the hair.

If needed, follow up occasionally with a gentle, sulfate-free shampoo to remove buildup.

Always detangle the hair while it's wet and saturated with conditioner to prevent breakage.

Let the hair air dry and avoid rubbing with towels. Instead, scrunch to encourage curl formation or use a denman brush.

When Not in Use

If you're not wearing your extensions daily, we suggest storing them in the original Jolie Frizz box or a satin bag to help maintain moisture, shape, and longevity.

 Recommended Products

Lightweight leave-in conditioners and co-washes

Curl creams or defining mousses that won’t build up on the hair

Avoid heavy oils and butters, especially near the roots or clips, to prevent product buildup and slipping

 Heat + Color

Our extensions are virgin hair and can be colored or heat-styled, but we recommend doing so minimally and with care.

Always test any color on a small section first, and use a heat protectant when styling.

 Additional Tips

Refresh curls between washes with a water + conditioner mix or a curl refresher spray.

The more gently and intentionally you care for your extensions, the longer they'll last and the better they'll perform.

 Avoid:

Sleeping with damp or wet hair

Applying edge control, waxes, or gels directly onto the extensions

Rough handling or excessive brushing when dry
